Privacy policy

1. Text input and translation

Text is processed on your device for translation previews, tone refinement, and replacement in the text field. The app does not send messages to an external translation server operated by us. Recent input and translations may be held temporarily in memory while the keyboard is running.

2. Information stored on your device

Target language, free tap counts, and product, expiry, and verification information for paid access are stored on your device. Setup practice completion is stored in app settings. Diagnostic information such as failure states and character counts may be stored locally without the input text.

3. Apple services

Apple services are used to prepare translation resources and AI models and to process purchases. Apple processes payments; the app uses verified purchase information to check paid access. Apple’s privacy policy and terms apply separately.

4. Full Access

Full Access is required in the current version for basic translation and for sharing settings and purchase status between the keyboard and main app. You decide whether to enable it in iPhone Settings. The app’s translation feature does not use an external translation server operated by us.

5. Advertising, analytics, and this website

The current app does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. If you email support, Gmail processes your email address and message to help us respond. Please do not send message contents, API keys, or other sensitive information. Unneeded support information is deleted after an issue is resolved, except where retention is legally required. This website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. The hosting provider may process connection information for security and operations. We do not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts to this site. Your selected website language is stored in your browser so it can be remembered on your next visit.

6. Retention and deletion

Locally stored information uses operating-system storage protections. Keychain information may remain after the app is deleted, so deleting the app does not guarantee that every stored item is removed. You can remove the keyboard in Settings. Send privacy or deletion requests to tapmywords@gmail.com.
